A lengthy apparent barricade outside an Inglewood shopping center ended after several hours Tuesday evening when police were able to determine the suspect had actually fled the area before they arrived.
PETALING JAYA: A suspected snatch thief has been arrested following a raid by police at Taman Medan here.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the incident occurred at around 11.25am on Jan 30 near the Seri Setia KTM station at Sungai Way. The victim, a 39-year-trader, had his bag of money and personal belongings snatched. We raided a house at Taman Desa Ria, Taman Medan, at around 8.45pm on Thursday (Feb 4) and arrested the 27-year-old suspect, he said in a statement on Friday (Feb 5).
He said police also seized items believed to be used in snatch thefts.
